During the summer, I love sitting outside with my daughter playing in the pool or just enjoying the day. The one thing we both love to have with us is my smartphone that I have all of our favorite music downloaded on. However since we have railroad tracks behind and in front of our house, it can be hard to hear the music on my Samsung phone.
I was looking for a bluetooth speaker that I could either hook up to my phone or use the Bluetooth feature and I was lucky enough to receive the Alisten Bluetooth Speaker, LED Lamp, Alarm Clock.
It is large box shaped speaker and is easy to set up. The Mode button allows you to set up all of the standard functions such as time, alarm, and Bluetooth. The light on it is very bright and has three settings for the light: dim, brighter and brightest setting. All you have to do is tap the top of the speaker for the light to come on.
I love how the sound is clear and not distorted when I use the bass booster that I have on my phone. I have also used it for a few days now and I did not charge it when I received it although I do recommend charging it before you use it so that you do not drain the battery right away since it does takes 8-12 hours to fully charge it.
The speaker comes with an charging cable, and a aux cable so you can connect it to any MP3 or Ipod player as well as your cell phone or other digital device. It also has a slot for a Micro SD if you want to listen to other downloaded music. I found that the Bluetooth connected quickly with my phone and I didn't have any issues. I was able to stream music from Google Play and from my Iheartradio app. The speaker allowed me to pause and play music from my phone as well as from the speaker itself.
The alarm setting is great because it can be turned off with a simple tap of the speaker and you do not have to fumble in the dark looking for a switch. The LED display is large, easy to read and the alarm has only one time which is the sound of birds chirping.
This is a great product to have in your home or would make an excellent gift for anyone. I am looking to buy a few more of these for my home and Christmas.
