Spring Time Decorating and Outside DIY Ideas for the Family

When it comes to my favorite time of the year, I am always looking for reasons to be outside. I love taking walks with my daughter to feed the ducks, getting my garden started for the year, and decorating the outside of my home.

I love making my yard look beautiful with different outside decor. Since I am always outside, I want my yard to feel like how my home feels inside. Sometimes I can go a little overboard with different items in my yard but I just can't stand an empty yard.

When spring finally arrives, you will find me in the yard cleaning up weeds, planting new flowers, and bringing out my decorative toys. While I am busy doing this, I am also thinking about upcoming summer holidays, BBQ's, and get togethers that I love having. Isn't that what warm weather is all about?

When the weather turns warmer, that is a sign that it is time to find some creative fun for you and your family outside. You can decorate like I do, start a garden, plant some new flowers and trees, or you can look for some fun, creative, DIY projects to keep you busy and entertained.

This season is the best time to introduce your love for your yard to your children. While you are doing your spring cleaning, keep an eye on what you are throwing out. Many items you can reuse for new projects.

You can stop by Pinterest to find some great DIY ideas for outdoor decoration and all sorts of fun games for your family to enjoy at home.

There are so many great ideas to choose from on Pinterest. For example, Mom Endeavors has an awesome post about a DIY Kiddie Car Wash, made out of pool noodles and PVC piping. This alone will keep the kids busy for hours! Something like this would make me get back on a bike again to relive my childhood over.

When it comes to DIY outdoor decoration, one of my absolute favorites would have to be by DIY Art Crafts. They have this amazing project called DIY Garden Stepping Stones. Words cannot describe how beautiful they really are. I cannot wait to try this one myself for my yard.

Spring time is the best time of the year to enjoy with your family and being creative at home. Since the kids are still in school, it is hard to really plan to do anything fun until summer comes. This is the best time to enjoy what you have right at home without spending tons of money and still have fun.

Before you know it, summer will be here and it will be time to plan for vacation. With the money you save from creating your own spring time wonderland, you can splurge on a nice family vacation this summer.
