I was so excited to try all Powercore Pacs when I first received them because I have a 4 yr. old daughter so I do a lot of laundry. I suggest that you make sure to put these in a high cabinet where kids cannot reach because kids will think that they can either eat them or play with them. It states on the bag to handle these with dry hands and make sure that you wash your hands after you use them. The reasoning behind this is the liquid and powder soap is enclosed by plastic that is meant to melt when it comes into contact with water.
My first load consisted of: my daughter's blankets and bedding, her older play clothes with worn out knees and old stains that never came out, and two black jeans of mine. I used two pacs because it was a large load but if it was a regular load, you can use just one.
Once the load was done, the first thing I noticed was my
daughter's blanket. This blanket was her father's baby blanket from 40 yrs ago. It is a yellow and white crochet blanket that faded over the years. When I pulled it out, I was shocked by how bright and vibrant the colors were. It was like the blanket was brand new again!
The next item that caught my eye was my daughter's play clothes. When it comes to my daughter and clothes, the knees in the pants are always the first to go. Three pair of pants had worn out knees with dirt stains that would never come out for me. I was shocked to see that while they were still worn out, the stains were gone. I tried every type of stain remover on these pants and nothing would work but these pacs did.
The last thing I pulled out of the washer that was on top of the two pacs was my black jeans. I was highly skeptical on how my jeans would come out because they looked brand new to begin with and I always believed that powder laundry detergent would make your clothes fade. To my surprise, my jeans came out nice and clean without any fading.
As far as the smell to my clothes after they were washed, these pacs did not have a heavy perfumed scent at all. To me, there was no scent to them at all except that fresh clean smell that clothes have after they have been washed.
I am absolutely in love with all Powercore Pacs and I will be buying it for my home. I can't wait to try it on my whites to see how wonderful they come out!
