I started American Opinion Panel back in September and to be honest, I was not taking all of the surveys that they were sending me. I finally cashed out $14.80 on December 3, 2015.
So with that being said, I like American Opinion Panel because you can earn points in two different ways. The first way is by taking the screener survey.
A screener survey is a basic survey that ask questions about where you work, your job responsibilities, and basic questions. This survey is usually less than 20 questions and it helps them to determine if you are a good fit for the topic of the survey. The best part about the screener is no matter if you complete a screener, your account will be credited 5 to 50 Points, depending on the time it takes. This is always a plus since a lot of times, you might not be a good fit for a survey so at least they are giving you some points for your time.
Another great part about American Opinion Panel is the opportunity to receive free products to test and review. They will ask in the survey if you would like to test the product and then do another survey after testing it. I love companies that does this since it is a win-win situation. You get your screener points, you get points for the survey, you get a free product, AND you get points for another survey. How great is that?! I have tested a few different products on here and some are just small samples and some are full size products.
They pay through PayPal and you can request payment once you receive 1000 points which is $10. Now here is the downside of American Opinion Panel. They require you to wait 6-8 weeks for payment. I know that it can get irritating waiting that long but the way I see it, you can earn another payout by then and have the possibility of testing free products.
The bottom line with American Opinion Panel is that I find it to be a pretty good survey company. While waiting so long for your payout is a downside, I find the possibility of testing products and receiving points no matter if you complete a survey or not a huge bonus so this is one that I will be sticking with.
