Good morning/afternoon/evening everyone! I put it like this since I have readers from all over the country and I want to make you feel good when you're reading this. As I am writing this, I am watching my little girl sleeping peacefully in bed and wondering, what am I doing up so late? I have always been a night owl so late hours are my thing. However, when you have a child, your sleep schedule changes since said child loves to wake up before the birds or even the rooster is up. I have mastered how to run on about 3-4 hours of sleep in the past 4 years.
Yet I am still asking myself the question, why am I still up? The answer is because I am trying to support us anyway I can. Now I'm sure most of you out there is saying, why don't you just get a job? I would love to however my current circumstance will not allow it so I have found other means to support us.
Take for example, I started doing surveys online for money and gift cards. Most people are probably saying that I'm crazy and I can't possibly make that much doing that. Well I can honesty say that from the end of July till the end of December, I earned $867.72 between cash and gift cards (which paid for Halloween, her birthday, Christmas, and little things she needed). Now most people still think I am crazy since that is not enough to afford food, rent, utilities, and other stuff to survive, which is true but I do have some support from my family on that end.
With that being said, I knew I had to figure out some way of income and surveys was the way to go for me. Then one night, after doing a number of surveys, I needed to vent so I started writing in my journal that I keep on my phone and a thought came to me. It seems like everyone has a blog these days about anything and everything so why not start one so I can show people that surveys are not all scams and that you can make money from them. That is when I created Mama Survey 365 and became a blogger; well sort of a blogger I guess.
When I started Mama Survey 365, I really wasn't thinking that it would do anything for me except maybe let me find like minded mamas who needed an outlet and some information. Well that started to change when I actually looked into what all you can do with a blog and other ways that you can make money while you are writing.
Now here is the most important part of this post: YOU WILL NOT GET RICH BY BLOGGING! Sorry for yelling but I really want to stress this point. I have been doing just about everything under the moon and then some without making a dime. Now most people would have given up at this point but anyone who knows me knows that I am the most stubbornness person you will meet. I have always loved a good challenge and I know that nothing is really free or easy. Now I'm not looking to become rich by blogging but I am trying to do two things here: make some sort of income and help others out in the process.
I have always been the type of person that wants to help others anyway I can and I still believe that I am doing that with this blog. Some people will look at my blog and say, she's just out to make money and that's it. This is so far from the truth and that is why I am still blogging after 5 months of not making a dime. The way I see it, if I can help just one person save or make money then I have done my job.
I'm still doing surveys and now I have found companies that will send you full size products to test and review for free. Even some of the survey companies have sent me products to test and then pay me to do a survey about the product. I think that is the best part of all of this-the free stuff!
Thanks for taking the time to read my little rant/post but when you're a single mom, you tend to go off about random stuff. I appreciate you taking the time out of your busy day and stopping by.
Make sure that you check out the survey companies page for more information about earning free stuff and making money. A

I will be totally honest again by saying that the only government assistance that I am on is food stamps which is another whole topic that I will save for another post. All I will say on that topic is this: I have been working AND paying taxes since I was 15, I had a job up until a year ago, and I am trying to get myself off any assistance. I am not lazy by any means nor is there anything stopping me from working except I do not have adequate daycare for my daughter.
